I graduated from Denison University in 1970 with a teaching degree in Biology. My teaching career was fantastic: 3 yrs junior high life science in South Euclid OH and 8 yrs high school physiology and biology in Albuquerque NM. In 1980, I earned a master's degree in school administration from the University of New Mexico. In 1980, I met my husband, Rich and moved to Woodstock, Illinois. In 1988, we created a dwarf conifer nursery Rich's Foxwillow Pines. We have been featured on the Victory Garden, HGTV, and many magazines over the years. Come see us in Woodstock, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago.
After my Dad died in 1962, my mom and I moved to Seminary Street in Berea from Olmsted Falls for my junior and senior year at BHS. I was honored to be the editor of the yearbook. I have many fond memories of putting the yearbook together with so many of our classmates. I have a box of photos never used--I will have to dig around for the website. It is hard to believe Keith Lare never left! Now he is retired, but what was it like to be in the teacher's lounge with Miss West?
