Elizabeth (“Betsi”) R. (Supple) Prill, 76, of Berea, OH gained her wings on April 18, 2025, after a prolonged illness. She is preceded in death by her “darling” husband, Hal; her parents Marie and Fred Supple, and her brothers Bill and Fred. Beloved step-mom to Kelsey Toulouse (Rich) and Jared Prill (Kristan), and cherished Grammie to Jaeger, Aislyn, Hailey and Silas. She is survived by them and her sister Sharon (Andrews) of Orlando, FL, her brother Jim, half-brothers Anthony and Freddie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Berea, OH in 1948, the youngest of seven children, Betsi never strayed far from her Northeast Ohio roots. Small in stature but big in personality, she loved to make people laugh. She graduated from Berea High in 1966 and spent some time in Columbus before settling back down in Berea to be close to family. She married Hal in 1991 and considered him one of the best decisions she ever made. Over the years, Betsi worked as a fashion buyer, bookstore manager and marketing developer. Betsi loved The Lord. Until her illness she was active in her church, Berea Baptist, volunteering in the nursery and serving as its janitor for many years. In her free time, Betsi enjoyed fishing, spending time with her grandkids (who already miss morning hotcakes), watching Cleveland Guardians games and talking to her treasured niece, Lisa (Sukenik).
Betsi was stubborn to the end, not only surviving a massive stroke in 2023, but overcoming many of the physical limitations that it put on her. She spent time at the Danbury Senior Living Center in North Ridgeville thereafter, and her family will be forever grateful to the staff and residents there that made her feel at home. She was quick witted, sharp tongued and fiercely loyal to her family.
The funeral will be Wednesday, April 23rd at 11 am at Berea Baptist Church, 250 West St., Berea, Ohio. The family will greet friends and neighbors from 10-11am at the church, prior to the funeral service. A graveside service will take place immediately thereafter at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., Olmsted Falls, Ohio 44070.
