After leaving BHS I attended Wooster College, graduating in 1971. Afterward came a few years knocking around the newspaper business as an editor and reporter at papers in Ohio and Montana. Eventually I ended up in product marketing - chiefly for industrial products - and stayed in the corporate world for 30+ years. Today, I do a little project work, write book reviews for the paper, and catch up on all the reading I dodged in high school and college.

I met my wife Jo-Anne while working at Cedar Point in the summer of 1967, and we married the following year. Hard to believe we will celebrate our 45th in 2013. It's been a great adventure and we still have a blast. We own the Readers Garden bookstore in downtown Granville, and operate a small cookie company.

We are extremely proud of our son Christopher who completed two deployments in Iraq, first in Mosul, and later at some unpronounceable location near the Iranian border. Our staff sergeant will be soon be stationed at Ft. Benning in Georgia, teaching 2d Lieutentants about armor. He and his wife Mandy presented us with beautiful granddaughters in 2007 and 2009 and of course it is our duty -- and pleasure -- to spoil them rotten.
